Senior Business Continuity Manager (to manage a team)
Location: London
Sector: Financial Services (Banking)
The jobholder will manage a small team which:
• Develops and keeps under review an appropriate testing strategy for business continuity plans within the Bank.
• Plans a series of scenario-based exercises to establish how well the core and crisis functions of the Bank are supported, including an annual exercise of the Crisis Management Team and their supporters;
• Works with local areas to ensure their plans are tested effectively and regularly;
• Ensures that the Bank's business continuity sites are regularly tested
Skills/competencies required:
• experience of business continuity is essential;
• strong analytical ability to assess interdependencies and vulnerabilities in plans and develop exercise scenarios to test these;
• excellent project management skills to plan objectives, resource requirements, scenario scripting, logistics and timely delivery of each exercise and follow-up recommendations;
• ability to command respect within the Bank
• Knowledge of financial infrastructure and markets would be an advantage.
