Positions wanted
Contract consulting or project management missions in the areas of IT disaster recovery planning and information security. Preferably in Belgium, Luxembourg, France or Netherlands but other locations might be considered.

Expertise
* IT disaster recovery planning.
* Information security with a focus on strategy, organisation, policies and procedures.
* General understanding of a wide range of ICT areas, resulting from 27 years of diversified experience.
* Fluent French and English, passive Dutch.

Career overview
SINCE 1994: Information security and disaster recovery planning consultant. Projects were completed for the following customers in Belgium and Luxembourg:
* FORTIS, CREDIT LYONNAIS, ABN-AMRO, DEXIA-BIL (banks)
* CETREL (electronic processing of financial transactions).
* SONACA, ASCO INDUSTRIES (manufacturing)
* THE BELGIAN POST

This included amongst other the definition of security policies, the implementation of security organisations and the management several IT disaster recovery planning projects.
1992-1994: S.W.I.F.T. : Management of information security projects.
1990-1991: S.W.I.F.T. : Contribution to the definition of the company ICT strategy

1982-1989: S.W.I.F.T. : Contribution to a wide variety of projects including several large-scale data-communications projects. This included such tasks as systems architecture definition, functional and technical specifications, product evaluation and supplier selection, specification of acceptance tests and control of their execution.

The technical areas addressed were distributed applications with stringent availability and integrity requirements, telecommunications, system and network management, databases and data modelling, system and network performance analysis, cryptography and security.

1979–1981: S.W.I.F.T. : Design and assembler programming of data-communication and system-level software.
1977-1979: CAP-GEMINI, then DIAMANT BOART : Application and system programming.

Education
Master’s degree in theoretical physics (Brussels University - great honours) followed by two years of research in the department of Pr. I. Prigogine.
